Human Zoos: America's Forgotten History of Scientific Racism

Link of the video

This documentary was kind of scary but still a reality that is part of history.
I am glad to have taken "Literatura hispanoamericana" because now I know lots of historical facts that belong to where I live "Colombia".For example Cartagena being the place where these africans arrived first and North  America in which all of the racism grow and grow more.

Now, for me it is easier to understand why racism is and has been such a huge and complex word. Since the beginning of the early years, people have been finding ways to feel superior and better than others.

Thinking that the white stuffs, the foreign stuffs and stuffs that come from Europe are the ones that worth the most. That horrible mentaility is the WHY discrimination is still around us. Even more excting, the ones that are the first and the owners of the land are the idigenous peoples. YESS!! the ones that have less rights, that have less economical opportunities and are most ignored by people. Those are our ancestors and our fathers/mothers and so on.

Even, when the African arrived to America there was the mix of cultures.
We tend to think that we are pure WHITE people but the reality is that most of us are the mix of indigenus and african peoples.

The video is all about how the scientifics has built the concept that the black people are the ape-like creatures and an iferior race, however, now I hope we all can deconstruct that freaking concept.

What do you think about "Racism"?
